Stick It Down December Edition

Hello Everybody!

It's time for a new sketch at Stick It Down!  I am in such a Christmas mood that I had to do a Christmas layout. :)

This picture is from 10 years ago.  We were in the local Christmas parade.  This was the best thing ever!  I love being in a parade!  LOL (It doesn't happen very often.)

I made a triangle template from an image at the Silhouette store and cut it out.  Then I used it like a stencil with transparent paste.

I used my silhouette to cut out the title.

Here is the beautiful sketch that inspired this layout.  I love how it makes this layout feel different from other layouts.  I did cheat though-I used paper that had lines on it to help make the bigger triangle cuts.

This is my last layout as a design team member for Stick It Down as of now.  I know I will still play along because they have fantastic sketches!  So if you are looking for scrapbook pages or card layouts-go check them out! :)

Until next time my friends....Merry Christmas! :)

This is all Doodlebug except for the ric rac and the title.  I love this collection (home for the holidays)!  This little Rudolph is soooo cute!

I used this sketch to create this layout.  It's so fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  A big thanks goes to Paper Wings Productions for sponsoring our blog hop!

Hey Pilgrim Layout

Hello Everybody!

We have such a fun 1 page sketch challenge over at Stick It Down.  And when you are done with that we have a double page and card sketches too! :)

I was glad that I had turkey pictures to scrap.  I am embracing Fall and this worked out perfectly! I made the pilgrim and the pilgrim hat from the silhouette.  (I love making things from the Silhouette!)

I used a frame on the center picture.  I always want to use more frames-so this makes me happy as well! :)

Thank you for stopping by!  We can't wait to see what you create!  Gobble Gobble! ;)

Puddles Layout

Hello Everybody!

This month the sketch at Stick It Down is super fun as we use 6 photos!  I cut my pictures out at 3X3 but you could probably go bigger.

Here's my layout:

I used Echo Park for the background and for the arrow.  The rubber boots I cut from my Silhouette machine and inked them up for definition.  The other papers are from Stampin' Up.  And those orange puffy stickers are from Thickers.  (I still love those letters!)

Here below is transparent paste from Wendi Vechi that I used with a Tim Holtz stencil.  It gives that yellow strip a little something extra without being too much.  :)

Here is this month's sketch.  I hope you like it as much as I do!  We can't wait to see what you create! :)

Until next time my friends...stay dry! ;)

Live in Color Layout

Hello Everybody!

There is a new challenge at Stick It Down--and you will love this sketch!

Here is my take on the sketch.  I used Distress Paints and flicked them onto the white cardstock.  I used my Silhouette machine to make the crayons.  I thought they were perfect for the Crayola Experience.

Here is the journaling.  The title stickers are old-so I was super happy to incorporate them into this layout.  Does anyone else feeling like a major win when you use something that's like 5 plus years old?  LOL! :)

Here is the original sketch:
Make sure you go by and see all of the great takes on this sketch and the double page and card sketches-so much inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...stay colorful! :)

Have you ever been so busy that you feel like you are kinda foggy?  And then you realize that you skipped something from 3 weeks ago?  LOL!  Then you know what it's like to be me!

I have been busy getting the most out of summer, prepping my classroom, and getting ready for my son to go back to school that some how I totally missed posting this layout for Stick It Down.

It's an awesome sketch and there are still a couple of days to play!

Here is my layout.  I used Candi paper brads for the background.  This is the first time I have ever used so many-and I was so happy!  The letters are from Thickers and a gift from my mom-in-law. :)

Here is the sketch:

So please design a layout and link it up.  What better way to spend the weekend!

New Sketch at Stick It Down

Hello Everybody!

The new sketch at Stick it Down has been posted.  I hope that you love it as much as I do!

I was in a gold mood when I created this layout.  The hexagons are so fun so I used a Heidi Swapp stencil and Viva Inka Gold.

I also used Tim Holtz's spray tool and a gold Krylon marker for the splats and I used the marker and a Heidi Swapp stencil for the hearts on the side.

Here is the sketch.  Awesome, right!?

Stick it Down also has a card and double page sketches-so come on over and check them all out.  And we will be having a Design Team Call because our current term ends June 30th so be sure to keep your eyes out for that! :)

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...love is in the air! :)

Fun Layout

Hello Everybody!

Today is the Team Reveal at Stick It Down--and if you haven't seen this month's sketch-you will love it!

Here is my take on it:

The papers and stickers are from a company called 3 Bugs in a Rug.  I have die cuts and stickers from this collection and I wanted to use them.  :)  The letters are the only thing from a different company oh and the washi tape around the picture.

Here the top right hand side.

Here is the sketch.  I hope that you found it as inspiring as I did!

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends....keep having Fun! :)

About Me Scrapbook Layout

Hello Everybody!

At Stick It Down there are beautiful new sketches for March.  And now you have a whole month to complete your projects.  I'm on the Single Page Team and here is my page:

I used K & Company Designer Pad for this layout.  The designer was Kelly Panacci.  I have a list of things that I like.  And these photos are all from 2015.  The last picture was Ash Wednesday and we celebrated Chinese New Year a day early-so that picture is ok.  LOL my printer didn't do anything wrong.  ;)

Here is the sketch:

I made another layout with this sketch.  The banner is from my Silhouette machine (love it!).  I used Making Memories letters (felt and regular stickers).  I popped up the middle picture.

Thank you for stopping by today!  We can't wait to see what you create!

Until next time my friends...let's go scrap some memories! :)

Sunday, February 1, 2015

Hello Everybody,

There is a new single page sketch over at Stick It Down.  I hope you are as inspired by it as I was!

I bought this fancy stencil just the other day from Hobby Lobby.  It's by Prima-and it has become one of my favorite stencils.  Then I put some papers together from 7 Gypsies and a few scraps.  And the gears are all wood embellishments from Unique Laser Designs.  Some are embossed and others are painted with Inka Gold from Viva.

Here is a closeup of the charms and added embellies.  The postmark is an old sticker (yay use up that stash!) ;)

Here is a close up of the ULD gears.  I distressed them with a little Tim Holtz black paint.

Let me show you the sketch.  You can totally do a girly flowery fun page....or do a little steampunk.  The choice is up to you-I almost couldn't decide flowers are gears.  :)

We look forward to seeing your layouts! :)

Until next time my friends...Woo Hoo!  It's time for the Big Game! :)

Touch a Truck Layout

Hello Everybody!

At Stick It Down we are doing things a little differently in 2015.  On the First of the Month we are sharing all of the sketches for the month.  So if you go there now you will see the Single Page, Double Page, and the Card sketches for January.  And now you get the whole month to finish your projects!  That is so fun and exciting and I hope you will have more time to come over and play!

So here is my take on this month's sketch:

Every year we got to an event where the kids can sit in the trucks and blow the horns or get an upclose look at construction and fire trucks.  It's a lot of fun.

I am excited that I used some stickers (letters and the truck) that I have had for a loooong time.

And while I'm talking about supplies that I have had for awhile-there is a new for fun challenge called Crash Your Stash.  And it's a personal challenge to do a number of pages/projects before you buy more supplies.  My goal is 25.  (I hope to have that done by March--that's when the Scrapbook Expo is coming to town!) ;)  So for me this is 2/25.  :)

So at Stick It Down we can't wait to see what you create!  Until next time my friends...keep scrappin!

Mario Layout

Hello Everybody!

Since it's the 5th Tuesday at Stick It Down we are choosing a layout from the collection to create from.

I chose this sketch:

And here is what I created.  I know it's weird that I chose to do a Halloween layout-but I did.  Maybe I needed a little break from red and green. ;)  Some of the papers are Heidi Grace and DCWV and the rest are scraps.  I am gonna try to get better at using up scraps--but we'll see.  ;)

I hope you come and join in on the fun!  You can do a single page, card, or 2 page layout.  The sketches are great!

Until next time my friends...the only thing really scary are my New Year's Resolutions  (LOL-and jk!)

Christmas Tree Lighting Layout

Hello Everybody!

It's time again for a single page sketch at Stick It Down!  This is a fun sketch-so get those chevrons out! ;)

Here is my take on the sketch.  I used paper from Craft Smith.  I love this vintage (but not too vintage) paper pack.  I love paper packs more each time I use them.  LOL!  More poor piles of single papers are starting to gather dust.  I better do something in 2015! ;)

For the chevrons I used my Heidi Swapp stencil and inked on Stampin' Up's Garden Green ink.

Here is a closer look at the title.  These letters are from Art Warehouse.  But they come in strips so you have to cut the individual letter out.  At first I didn't want to-but it's not so bad.  :)

I have had this bling tree from Making Memories for ever!  Yay!  I used it!  (Do you ever feel that way-like scrapbooking success!)

Here is the sketch.  So dust of your piles of paper because we can't wait to see what you create! :)

Until next time my friends...have a scraptastic day! :)

Time for Gifts layout

Hello Everybody!

There is a new 1 page sketch at Stick It Down.  Go by so that you can see all of the lovely versions of this one sketch.  Here is mine:

Most of these papers are from a Recollections (Michaels) Christmas paper pad.  The papers around the picture-1 is a digi Echo Park that I printed out and the black printed paper is from K&Company.  The red foil brackets are Thickers.  And the Dear Santa is a cameo from Webster.

Here is a closeup:

Anytime I can use my hexagon punch is a good day :)  Here is the sketch--hope to see you there!

Until next time my friends...keep on scrappin'! ;)

Happy New Baby

Hello Everybody!

Since there are 5 Tuesdays in September-we do a special thing at Stick It Down Blog.  You can use any of the sketches and link up with us!

I am usually on the Single Page Team but I need to get a few cards made and sent out!  So I made a baby card for a friend of mine who just had a boy.  (I am so excited for them and their newest member!)  Babies are so awesome! :)

Here is my card.  I used my Cricut to make the feet on the circle.  Then the bigger blue circle is a punch that I have.  Then I gave those feet some Stickles Glittery Goodness.  The teddy bear is a button.  And the sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set that my very sweet and generous friend gave me. :)

Here is a closeup.  I used a little safety pin too.  :)

Here is the Stick It Down sketch.  You can do this one or go to the blog for lots of options- for cards or scrapbook layouts-or both! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...have a great day! :)

A New Car Seat Layout

Hello Everybody!

There is a new sketch at Stick It Down.  So here is my page and a little story.  :)

I don't know about y'all but when my little one went from the re-facing car seat to the sit up and look front car seat--it was a big deal.  So of course I took pictures of the very first time he sat in it to test it out!

I used a paper set from Stampin' Up.  The letter stickers and discover are from different companies.  The discover is a rub-on from Tim Holtz.  Everything else like paper and stickers are from SU.  Oh, and the 3 little dots are Bo Bunny.  The other 3 dots at the top are from a hole punch and paper.  :)

Here is a close up of the pictures.

Here is the sketch!  We can't wait to see what you create! :)

Until next time my friends...have a great day! :)

Happy New Year 2014 Layout

Hello Everybody!

There is a new sketch at Stick It Down!  I was going through my pictures and found these 2 from where we stayed up to welcome the New Year.  And then like magic this page came together!  (Which doesn't usually happen like that!) ;)

The base paper is Bo Bunny.  This is a close up.  I bought the Jolee's steampunk owls and thought that would be a cool place for one.  I always buy these cute little things and then I hoard them.  I'm trying to get better and here is the first step!  LOL!  I used some Tim Holtz embellies and both die cuts are his.  I glittered the hexagons and that has actually been hanging around because it didn't fit another project.  Yay! Now it has a home :)

Here's the sketch.  We would love to see you scrapbook pages!

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...Hope your 2014 is going well! :)
